- Diagnostic buccal gland (lip) biopsy in Sjogren's syndrome. Upper: A normal gland with a few ducts and pale glandular acini. Lower: The glands are replaced by a lymphocytic infiltrate and the ducts are proliferating. An identical reaction occurs in the lacrimal glands. (H&E stain)
