- Description
- A 35 year-old male developed progressive profound vision loss following uncomplicated cataract surgery and subsequent intravitreal vancomycin/ceftazidime for suspected postoperative endophthalmitis. Fundus examination revealed circumferential midperipheral fibrosed retinal vasculitis / neovascularization with pericentral retinal ischemia and scattered hemorrhages. Fluorescein angiography demonstrated extensive capillary nonperfusion encircling the posterior pole and temporal macula with an enlarged irregular FAZ, consistent with hemorrhagic occlusive retinal vasculitis (HORV).
