- Patient complained of a blur in the left eye during a 3 week period prior to evaluation, flashes had been noted in the vision 6 months prior to examination, but the retina was found to be normal. Infarction in the peripapillary region caused a degrease in vision which improved with the resolution of the cotton wool exudates in the left eye.
