Spontaneous Macular Hemorrhage in High Myopia
Jul 7 2015 by Hamid Ahmadieh, MD
A highly myopic 30-year-old-man noticed sudden drop of vision and metamorphopsia in his left eye. Color fundus photograph showed a macular haemorrhage (Fig. a) which partially resolved spontaneously after 6 weeks ( Fig. b). Four months later, VA improved to 20/40 and the image distortion markedly resolved ( Fig. c). Lacquer cracks were visible.

Choriodal Rupture - AW 001 - Initial Presentation
Mar 11 2013 by Suber S. Huang, MD, MBA, FASRS
40-year-old male sustained blunt trauma OD with orbital fracture and choroidal rupture subjacent to inferior arcade with blood, subretinal fluid, and exudate extending to fovea with CF 2 feet at presentation 9-10-12. On followup 3-11-12, vision improved to 20/400 with resolution of hemorrhage, normal OCT, but speckling of foveal RPE and PMB consistent with damage.

Submacular Hemorrhage
Apr 24 2018 by Pauline T Merrill, MD, FASRS
Fundus photo of left eye of a 65-year-old AMD patient who presented with sudden drop of vision from 20/30 to CF due to a large submacular hemorrhage, 7 months following her last Eylea injection. She underwent immediate injection of C3F8 in the office, with little effect. 10 days later vitrectomy with subretinal tPA and air-fluid exchange was performed, with successful displacement of the hemorrhage.
