Fundus camera VISUCAM 524(Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, Jena, Germany) - Description
- Case description A 63-year-old woman with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) in the right eye underwent a loading course of three intravitreal aflibercept injections. Following treatment, she developed a large retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) tear involving nearly the entire macular area, with marked retraction and folding of the detached RPE. Fundus autofluorescence Fundus autofluorescence demonstrates a large area of marked hypoautofluorescence corresponding to loss of the RPE and exposure of the underlying tissue. In contrast, the retracted and folded RPE appears markedly hyperautofluorescent, sharply delineating the displaced pigment epithelium and emphasizing the extensive configuration of the tear.
