Fundus camera VISUCAM 524(Carl Zeiss Meditec AG, Jena, Germany) - Description
- Case description A 63-year-old woman with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) in the right eye underwent a loading course of three intravitreal aflibercept injections. Following treatment, she developed a large retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) tear involving nearly the entire macular area, with marked retraction and folding of the detached RPE. Color fundus photograph Color fundus photography of the right eye shows a broad area of macular RPE disruption and retraction. The torn RPE is displaced and folded upon itself within the central macula, producing a well-demarcated elevated pigmented lesion surrounded by an area of relative RPE absence.
