- Description
- A 17-year-old boy sustained blunt ocular trauma to the eye from a soccer ball, resulting in sudden-onset decreased vision and commotio retinae. The visual symptoms gradually resolved. Retinal breaks were identified and treated with laser photocoagulation. One week after the injury, the patient’s visual acuity improved to 20/20.
