Thank you for your comment. The buckle was placed to support the pre-operative pathology that was present quite posteriorly in this high myope with a posteriorly inserted vitreous base. While on the higher side, the indentation looks appropriate on exam, and may be slightly exaggerated by the Optos image. The patient remains attached with excellent vision after surgery, and is quite happy.
