- Description
- A 77 year old caucasian woman presented with a two month history of decreased vision in the right eye. Her medical history revealed well-controlled systemic arterial hypertension and hypothyroidism, and otherwise was unremarkable. She was believed to have widespread choroidal neovascularization in the right eye with subfoveal involvement. At 3 months after treatment with the strontium-90 probe, the visual acuity in the right eye remained 20/70. Fundus examination (slides) revealed a diminution in size of the RPE detahchment and a resolution of the subretinal blood.
