- 30 year old woman was diagnosed with insulin dependent diabetes mellitus 12 months before her visit. At approximately the same time, she became aware that her night vision was not a good as it used to be and she occasionally bumped into things in dimly lit rooms. She also developed some difficulty driving at night. Her family history is negative for pigmentary retinopath. She takes insulin, prinivil (an ACE inhibitor) orthocept (an oral contraceptive), ibuprofen and ventolin. She has 3 children but reports experiencing no blood pressure problems during any of her pregnancies.
