- Description
- Right fundus of a 17-year-old boy with rapid vision deterioration. Macular lesion suggestive of retinitis, endogenous endophthalmitis, toxoplasmosis. Serology for toxoplasmosis (IgG and IgM antibodies) was positive; blood and urine bacterial and fungal cultures negative. He was placed on clindamycin, bactrim and levofloxacin (the former 2 for toxoplasmosis, the latter for possible bacterial endophthalmitis) and the lesion resolved rapidly.
