MIRANTE NIDEK - Description
- A 59-year-old female presented with complaints of sudden loss of vision in the left eye since 1 year. On examination, visual acuity in the right eye (RE) was 20/20, while in the left eye (LE) it was perception of light (PL) with inaccurate projection. Anterior segment examination was unremarkable. Fundus examination of the LE revealed Neovascularization of the Disc (NVD) with scleroses retinal vessels, giving a "retinal hibiscus" appearance. Based on clinical findings, a probable diagnosis of Central Retinal Artery Occlusion (CRAO) with Ocular Ischemic Syndrome (OIS) was made. The patient was advised Pan-Retinal Photocoagulation (PRP) for the NVD and further systemic evaluation.
