- Description
- Color fundus photography demonstrates chronic retinal detachment in a 22-year-old patient with a history of extreme prematurity (born at 26 weeks of gestation) and regressed retinopathy of prematurity previously treated with extensive peripheral laser photocoagulation and primary scleral buckle. In the right eye, chronic subretinal fluid is observed dissecting toward the fovea, with a small atrophic retinal tear located at the border of the laser treated retina, corresponding to the site of the former ridge. In the left eye, retina appears attached under 5,000 Centistokes silicone oil tamponade following repair of recurrent retinal detachment.
