- Description
- Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) of a 39-year-old patient with proliferative diabetic retinopathy demonstrating extensive macular ischemia. The image reveals marked enlargement and irregularity of the foveal avascular zone (FAZ), with significant capillary dropout in both the superficial and deep retinal vascular plexuses. Areas of non-perfusion and rarefaction of the perifoveal capillary network are evident, consistent with advanced diabetic microvascular damage.
