- Patient was struck in the right eye with a stick thrown by his companion. The tentative diagnosis at that time prior to referral was avulsion of the optic nerve OD. The images represent a partial avulsion of the inferior portion of the optic nerve showing absence of the peripapillary vasculature in the choroid and moderate serous elevation of the other portions of the peripapillary areas.
