- A 57-year-old woman underwent faco vitrectomy due to retinal detachment, and silicone oil was used as endotamponade. Mild zonular weakness was noticed during the procedure, but the surgeon still placed a one-piece IOL in the capsular bag. At the one-week follow-up visit, multiple bubbles of silicone oil were found during the slit lamp examination.
