    Description
A 40 year old previously healthy man developed blurred vision five days after the onset of fatigue, night sweats, and a fever up to 105 degrees F. He was treated with seven day course of amoxicillin. Ten days after the onset of his febrile illiness, his eye examination revealed a best corrected visual acuity of 20/60 OD and 20/30 OS. Slit lamp exam disclosed moderate anterior chamber cells OU with moderate vitreitis in the right eye and mild vitreitis in the left eye. Multiple deep retinal yellow placoid lesions were at the level of the retinal pigment epithelium which blocked fluorescence in the early phases of the study and stained in the late phases. Indocyanine green angiographies showed hypofluorescent lesions throughout the study.
