- Description
- Vitrectomy is carried out to clear retained lens matter and nucleus fragments status post cataract surgery. After clearing the surrounding vitreous a fragmatome is introduced to aspirate the nucleus fragment from the vitreous. The residual lens matter is cleared using the cutter. Overall screening of peripheral retina is done before closing the case.
