This 33 year old patient was asymptomatic when she noted the sudden onset of a paracentral scotoma in the right eye. Initially she described the scotoma as being like a full circle but this eventually evolved into a paracentral scotoma. When seen, she had an unusual vascular pattern centrally in the right eye. An evaluation for medical diseases including hypertension, diabetes, and collagen vascular disease was negative. She remained stable in the right eye until when she noted an alarming increase in the scotoma. In spite of the change in the scotoma, a repeat fluorescein angiogram was unchanged. The patient's visual acuity remained 20/20 throughout the course of this disorder. Her left eye was normal.
