The Disappearing Gold: Oguchi Disease

Color fundus photographs before (upper panels) and after dark adaptation (lower panels) demonstrate the characteristic Mizuo–Nakamura phenomenon. The diffuse golden-yellow fundus sheen of Oguchi disease markedly diminishes following dark adaptation, revealing a relatively normal fundus appearance.
