Foveal Granularity in MEWDS
Aug 20 2026 by Mauricio Bayram-Suverza, MD
A 23 year-old female presented for evaluation after one week of blurred vision in the right eye. Her history was notable for a flu-like illness (viral prodrome) approximately one week before symptom onset. Fundus examination revealed the classic foveal granularity characteristic of multiple evanescent white dot syndrome (MEWDS), along with the remaining findings typical of this condition.
