A patient with a full thickness macular hole reducing vision to 20/200

A metallic IOFB from a chisel being used by a builder with no eye protection. The IOFB was impacted on the retina, but removed via an internal approach. There was no hole in the retina underneath and the patient retained 20/20 vision with no complications.

Extruding buckle in a patient who had surgery 5 years previously and re-presented with discomfort and sticky discharge. The buckle was removed following which the retina remained attached, and the symptoms resolved.
