Toxoplasmic Chorioretinal Lesion Evolution

Fundus photographs of a 21-year-old woman with personal history of diabetes mellitus type 1. She presented to our emergency department due to left eye decreased visual acuity. A chorioretinal lesion located near the macula at the superior temporal vascular arcade was observed after left eye fundus examination. The patient was admitted in our department for investigation. Toxoplasmosis was assumed after clinical and serologic evaluation. Treatment was initiated with Trimethoprim-Sulfamethoxazole and Clyndamicin with excellent clinical results and visual recovery.
