A 26 year old gentleman presented with a metallic intraocular foreign body embedded in the nasal retina (above). The initial injury occurred about 2 months before presentation. His vision on presentation was 20/25, but had a dilated pupil OS from suspected iron toxicity. Two weeks following vitrectomy, foreign body removal, endolaser, and gas, his vision was 20/40 (below).
