39 year old white female h/o profound visual loss OS with headache 6 days ago; PMH significant for hypertension and BCP use; VA 20/16 OD LP OS; cherry red spot and pale nerve OS.

Rod Response: B wave: 121/33 uV and 83.5/96.5 ms
Normal: > 122 uV and <110ms
Results: Maximal Rod & Cone Response:
B wave: 453/346 uV and 48/52 ms
Cone Response: B wave: 196/118 uV and 32.5/35.5 ms
Normal: >64 uV and <32 ms
Flicker: B wave: 195/93 uV and 29.25/33.5 ms
Normal: > 40 uV and < 30 ms
Impression: Asymmetric ERG, OS < OD. Moderate panretinal dysfunction OS, but a-an b-wave responses are not abolished.
Interpretation of these results should include consideration of transient, though profound vascular occlusion. Visual loss may be due to optic nerve > retinal dysfunction.
