Maurice F. Rabb » Accumulation Of Glial Tissue

19 year old white female who fist noted blurred vision in the left eye in October 1974. The vision has remained essentially unchanged since that time. The right eye has caused her no difficulty.

The examination showed a visual acuityof 20/20 O.D. and 20/100 O.S. with correction. The fundus exam of the left eye shows an accumulation of glial tissue superotemporal to the macula with superficial retinal stria extending toward this area. This distorts the macula. The peripheral fundus is within normal limits and the fundus exam of the right eye was entirely normal.
