77 year old physician seen once on April 1984. In 1958 (52 year old) myocardial infarct. In 1981 cardiac pacemaker.

Eye history: 3 days ago he lost the lower half of his vision in the right eye. Saw an ophthalmologist: Rx: Diamox and Timoptic.

Examination: RE: 20/25
LE: 20/30
IOP: 9/11
BP: 84/54

Normal eye exam except for the right fundus (see photos and fluorescein angiogram).

Diagnosis: Cilioretinal artery occlusion and ischemic optic neuropathy caused by occlusion of the same artery feeding the optic nerve capillaries and cilioretinal artery.
