Maurice F. Rabb » Amelanotic Epibulbar Lesion

This presentation is a follow-up of the case hat I presented in 1978 in a 56 year old woman with an amelanotic epibulbar mass.

The lesion remained stable from 1978 until 1981 when minimal change was noted, and by 1982, there was clear-cut photographic evidence of slight growth. She declined enucleation at that time but returned in 1983 with spontaneous vitreous hemorrhage and then consented to enucleation.

I am redistributing clinical photographs from 1978 and also 1983, showing growth as well as gross and microscopic photos of this small mixed-cell type melanoma.
