DB2 was a 59 year old female first seen in November, 1982. She complained of declining vision in both eyes for four years. Initially she was in good general health, but ten years later she developed peripheral neuropathy and glucose intolerance.

She had two children - one daughter with dominant drusen, and one son (DBI).

Visual acuity 20/50, 20/25 (colors and fluorescein angiography).

DBI was her 40 year old son, seen in 1985 with no visual complaints and in good health (color photos).

He returned in 1997 at age 52 complaining of blurred and distorted vision in both eyes.

Visual acuity 20/25, 20/50 (color and fluorescein angiography).

Diagnosis: Type II idiopathic bilateral juxtafoveolar retinal telangiectasis.

Clinical and fluorescein angiographic documentation in mother and son.
