A 42 year old Caucasian female noted blurring of central and inferior visual field in the right eye one day prior to initial examination. Recent medical history is significant for fevers and chills intermittently over the last month associated with arthralgias of the wrists, knees, and ankles. The patient also had an erythematous, nodular rash affecting the wrists and lower legs bilaterally. Past medical history unremarkable excepts the patient had been treated for primary syphilis 10 years prior to examination.

Examination: Visual acuity was 20/200 OD and 20/20-1 OS. Slit lamp examination was normal. Funduscopic examination (see photographs). There were no anterior vitreous cells but there were few posterior vitreous cells. Fluorescein angiography (see photographs).
