30 year old woman with confirmed von Hippel-Lindau disease. Her left eye was lost to large retinal angiomas, retinal detachment, and phthisis. She has a history of multiple cerebellar, brain stem, and spinal angiomas. The patient first developed a small retinal angioma along her inferotemporal arcade in the right eye in 1988. This was photocoagulated uneventfully. A picture of her normal right macula from January 15, 1991, is enclosed.
