- Description
- Sixty two year old male, 20/25 on the right and finger counting on the left. In the right eye there was a geographic area of whitening at the level of the pigment epithelium and outer retina. There were similar lesions nasal to the disc. On testing him with a field, it was impossible to demonstrate any scotoma in the right eye. In the left eye he had similar lesions occupying the macula. Fluorescein angiograms were done multiple times in subsequent months. Definite growth of the placoid lesions were noted. An ICG angiogram showed hypofluorescence. The fluorescein and ICG angiograms on the left showed multiple areas of choroidal neovascularizaton.
