Fundus photograph of a 20-year-old male with pain and decreased vision OS for 3 days. His visual acuity was counting fingers and he had conjunctival injection, anterior chamber cells and vitreous cells. He admitted to intermittent use of intravenous heroin. A vitrectomy was performed and cultures were positive for candida albicans.

20-year-old male presents with posterior uveitis with a chain of white infiltrates stemming from the optic nerve. While treated, his infiltrates retracted and hemorrhage occured. Neovascularization of the disc developed and underwent Avastin treatment in addition to his oral anti-fungals and intravitreal anti-fungals. Patient was lost to follow up and presented with severe pre-retinal fibrosis 6 years later. Acuity is 20/40-1 with significant metamorphopsia.

Ultra-wide field Optos pseudocolor image of an 45-year-old male presenting with endogenous endophthalmitis affecting his left eye. Candidiasis was at high considerations due to intravenous drug abuse and recent history of dental abscess. Patient developed a subretinal infiltrate resulting in central scotoma and responded well to anti-fungal treatment.

Female, 30-years-old with <<< V Pregnancy Currently with 18 weeks gestation. Pathological personal history 1 month prior hospitalization for complicated acute appendicitis + pyelonephritis + severe thrombocytopenia (autoimmune treated with corticosteroids) with septic shock, appendectomy was performed, due to torpid evolution, intensive care unit with placement of central venous catheter treated with intravenous antibiotics is performed, CT scan is performed of thorax, abdomen and pelvis in search of aggregate pathology; finding multiple renal lithiasis that conditions hydronephrosis and reactivation of pyelonephritis, so he continued with antibiotic therapy and underwent endoscopic lithotomy, due to febrile persistence and with a positive blood culture result for candida Albicans, intravenous antifungals (anidulafungin) were started for 1 week, with improvement satisfactory for what was decided his discharge. During hospitalization it was required to transfuse 2 globular packages and platelet plasmapheresis as well as replacement of calcium, phosphorus and potassium. It refers to approximately 3 weeks of visual loss of the left eye associated with myodisopsia. visual acuity 20/100 Vitritis +, with floating vitreous abscess on the posterior pole, round papilla, slightly erased edges, excavation 0.3, macula without foveolar luster, conserved vein artery relationship, with vessels with multiple mineralization areas and superior peripheral lesion of ¼ diameter of papilla as ball of snow applied to retina.

Right fundus of a 17-year-old boy with rapid vision deterioration. Macular lesion suggestive of retinitis, endogenous endophthalmitis, toxoplasmosis. Serology for toxoplasmosis (IgG and IgM antibodies) was positive; blood and urine bacterial and fungal cultures negative. He was placed on clindamycin, bactrim and levofloxacin (the former 2 for toxoplasmosis, the latter for possible bacterial endophthalmitis) and the lesion resolved rapidly.
